William Voermann is a NYC based cinematographer with over 20 years of experience in production ranging from feature films, reality TV, commercials, and music videos, to short and long form documentaries and industrial videos. After getting his BFA in Film in Miami, Florida he became a regular contributor to VICE with other clients including Hulu, MTV, Vogue, Eater, Bloomberg, The History Channel, VH1, BBC, NBC, CBS, Vox, and The Onion. He is available for domestic and international assignments and is capable of working in difficult and dangerous conditions with a certification in first aid and hostile environments, a THUET certification for travel to offshore oil rigs, a part 107 drone certification for commercial drone flight, and a FCC license for a set of commercial walkie talkies. The variety of experience he has acquired in the two decades, has made him a versatile DP, able to work on small skeleton crew documentaries, in sometimes dangerous conditions, but also capable of directing large crews to efficiently pull off more complex lighting situations in studio and on location. After starting Camera Cage LLC in 2021, William is now able to provide full production services at a low cost and can rent fully insured equipment, and get NYC shooting permits with his general liability insurance. He is a owner operator to three camera packages, including a Arri Amira and all of the lighting, sound, and production equipment to pull off any size shoot.
